As we were redesigning our blog, I had the opportunity to check all the Asian American blogs listed on our blogroll. It's not a long list and as I started to categorize each one, the lack of independent Asian American philanthropy bloggers became very apparent.
In 2006, 8.1% of program officers identified as Asian American. This is almost double the representation of Asian Americans in the population, 4.5%. While some Asian Americans work in the institutional foundation world, there are many others that work in non-profits, for-profits, social enterprises, etc. Many write and contribute to the field. However, we are not seeing many of then blogging about philanthropy and nonprofit issues.
We are looking for Asian American bloggers that contribute to the field of philanthropy and nonprofit community overall. Here's our list so far (in no special order):
11 Asian American philanthropy, nonprofit and social enterprise bloggers:
1. Nonprofit law blog, Gene Takagi, Esq., @GTak
2. South Asian Philanthropy Project, Archana Sridhar, Venu Gupta et.al.
3. Asian Nation: Behind the Headlines, C.N. Le, @cnle
4. Global Grassroots Giving, Dale Asis, @globalcoalition
5. Philosopher 2.0, Tong Wang, @philosopher20
6. DJChuang.com, DJ Chuang, @djchuang
7. Asif Saleh, Asif Saleh, @asifsaleh
8. Paul's Blog, Paul Bachleitner, @prbach
9. China Esquire, Thomas Chow, @chinaesq
10. Digital provide: from good to gold, Neerja Raman, @neerja
11. Case Foundation blog, Sokunthea Sa Chhabra, @sokunthea
Coming soon:
12. Kelvin Vuong, Kelving Vuong, @kelvin_v

Hello Suja,
I think Give Blog would be a perfect addition to the list. I received so much feedback that I will have to do another post with the full list. We are not up to 15! Hopefully we can find 20 soon.
I really like your blog! You and your husband have a great story.
