* Korean American Community Foundation is now hiring for Administrative & Communication Associate.  Reporting to the Executive Director and working in KACF’s New York City (Manhattan) office, the Associate will work with both internal and external stakeholders to support the development of donor relationships, draft correspondence, articles and other presentational  materials, manage monthly eNewsletters, website and other updates, assist with special event coordination and planning, and other tasks as assigned.  The successful candidate will have a deep interest in philanthropy and community issues, with strong writing, excellent judgment and organizational skills that will be applied across a range of duties including research communications and event planning.

Managing Director for Family Philanthropy, Council on Foundations (Washington, DC). The Council seeks a managing director of Family Philanthropy Services to be a strategic visionary, listener, and connector for family and next generation philanthropy. The managing director will be the organization’s leader in positioning the Council to grow in numbers and value to its family philanthropy audience. The individual should have a deep knowledge of family philanthropy in all its forms, understand the ethics and standards of the field, and have experience working with social networking and web tools to make connections, deliver programming and provide space for knowledge exchange. This individual should also be a credible representative of family philanthropy and next generation leaders to the broader field, and be able to facilitate and grow partnerships with colleague organizations to better engage and meet the needs of trustees, foundation staff, and family members.

Program Associate, Annie E. Casey Foundation (Baltimore, MD). The Program Associate works with grantees to develop effective strategies around work supports for specific populations/family cohorts, assists in tracking the work of the grantees, identifying areas in which technical assistance would be beneficial, and helping the grantees in their efforts to promote policy and practice improvements that will benefit low income families.  The position will also contribute to the asset building and financial services work.

Program Officer for Asia, EMpower (Hong Kong). EMpower is a public foundation committed to building opportunities for at-risk youth (age 10-24) in emerging market countries.  Harnessing the resources of the emerging market financial sector, EMpower makes grants to local organizations across four thematic portfolios:  education, health and wellbeing, livelihoods, and leadership.  EMpower is based in the United States and has affiliated organizations in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. The Program Officer has primary responsibility for managing and growing EMpower’s grantmaking portfolio in Asia.  The current active grants portfolio comprises ~ 20 grants in 4 emerging market countries in Asia: China, India, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The Program Officer is expected to manage and expand this portfolio as well as provide or facilitate related technical assistance activities to ensure strong programmatic support of grantees.

* Manager of Communications, Women's Funding Network (San Francisco). The Communications Manager will develop and implement strategic communications initiatives to support the Women’s Funding Network’s vision, mission and revenue objectives. We are seeking a talented, energetic and creative Manager of Communications who will be the nexus, catalyst and facilitator of all communications for WFN. This person is responsible for all strategic messaging, engagement and branding efforts for WFN, making sure these activities are advancing WFN’s strategic goals. Using skills in marketing, design, digital media, and press relations, this Manager will coordinate communications/engagement strategies with all key constituencies, including members, donors, external stakeholders, and the general public. The Manager will help propel WFN’s visibility to new levels and shape the debate on the importance of social investment in women.

* Global Philanthropy Forum Officer, World Affairs Council of No. CA (San Francisco). Reporting to the Vice President, Philanthropy Programs, the GPF Program Officer will be part of a dynamic team of professionals who strive to serve the donor community. As the primary point of contact for speakers and special guests at the conference, the ideal candidate will exhibit poise, creativity, strong judgment and attention to detail to maintain GPF’s brand of individualized service. As a researcher, the GPF Program Officer will canvass various topics pertaining to economic development, development policy, philanthropy and social investing. S/He will conduct background research on potential speakers and conference attendees. As the coordinator of learning opportunities offered throughout the year, the GPF Program Officer manages various logistics.

* Manager, Center for Effective Philanthropy (San Francisco). Reporting to the Vice President of Assessment Tools and working in CEP’s San Francisco office, the Manager will work with both internal and external stakeholders to lead the development of client relationships with foundations using CEP’s assessment tools, to oversee data generation, analysis and report creation processes, and to ensure quality in CEP’s work.  CEP’s Assessment Tools managers supervise research analysts, oversee processes, and represent the organization in meetings, in client presentations of assessment tool results and periodically at conferences or speaking engagements. The successful candidate will possess both outstanding data analysis skills and outstanding communication skills and will be adept at interacting with high-level executives in high-pressure, high-stakes settings.

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Development Director (Director) will spearhead fundraising efforts as Cameron House continues to grow and demand for services increases. The primary foci of this position are the management of annual giving and donor relations with an emphasis on growth; identification and securing of new funding sources; serving as lead writer and editor of grant proposals and reports, tracking deadlines and working with Finance and Program staff who participate in this process. * The Committee of 100 (NY) seeks a seasoned and highly-motivated Director of Development to lead a sustainable fund-raising organization that will cover annual operating expenses and seed a significant endowment.

* The Committee of 100 (NY) is also seeking a Research Director. The Research Director will work to strengthen the organization by integrating research, communications, fundraising, and program development in a symbiotic environment.  

* Room to Read  (San Francisco) is seeking a Chief Development Officer. The Chief Development Officer is responsible for all fundraising, marketing and PR for the organization. This includes leading the global fundraising team with offices in San Francisco (Global Office), New York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney, and Delhi.  The position plans, coordinates and assures implementation of strategies to develop donors and contributions to support Room to Read’s bold annual and long-term goals. Additionally, the CDO sets the strategy for raising multi-year operating campaign funds. In conjunction with a Deputy Director of Development, he/she also assures the development and maintenance of appropriate systems to support fundraising including volunteer and donor management, research and cultivation, gift processing and recognition. The Chief Development Officer will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Board Chairman and Board of Directors.

They are looking for an individual with knowledge of and experience raising funds from national foundations and large donors, as well as expertise with online giving strategies/smaller donations. Some experience with public broadcasting models would be a plus. Excellent planning, networking, writing and implementation skills are needed.

Job Opportunities at Resource Generation

Resource Generation has two open positions:

Family Philanthropy Organizer. The Family Philanthropy Organizer will support the successful development of the RG Family Philanthropy Program. This is a 15 hour a week part-time position that runs from March 1 - June 30. There is an opportunity to continue and possibly increase hours depending on resources and mutual interest. This position will be based in New York City or Seattle, salary based upon qualifications (includes benefits).  

Development and Administrative Coordinator

. The development and administrative coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing Resource Generation’s fundraising strategies in partnership with staff and board. The coordinator is also responsible for carrying out basic administrative duties of the organization. This 30 hour per week position will be based in New York City salary based upon qualifications (includes benefits). The start date is as soon as March 1. This position is 30 hours a week and includes an excellent benefits package
